G22 Special Program Fee (Discounted Registration)
After registration, you would complete the Brief Online Orientation.
Then you be able to start your Program Plan.
For the Professional Medical Interpreter Program, the following courses are required to be completed consecutively.
Part 1: English Medical Concepts (If you have a degree in the US, you may be exempt from Part 1, or you may take Part 1 Challenge Exam. Extra Fee.)
Part 2: Language-Specific Medical Concepts (If you have a medical degree from a non-English speaking country, you may be exempt from Part 2, or you may take the Part 2 Challenge Exam. Extra Fee).
Part 3: Professional MI Concepts and Skills
Comprehensive Final Evaluation (CFE) ($100.00 Fee to be paid when reserving the CFE date.
Depending on your qualifications, if you have completed an anatomy and physiology course and/or pathology in English, you may not need to take Part 1 of the program. If you are a student in a healthcare profession and you have completed an equivalent course or courses, please request the challenge exam after completing the Online Orientation.
If you have completed an anatomy and physiology course and/or pathology in a non-English language, you may not need to take Part 2 of the program. If you are a student in a healthcare profession and you have completed an equivalent course or courses, please request the challenge exam after completing the Online Orientation.
After completing the online orientation, please email Marlene to request the specific challenge exam. If you pass the challenge exam, you would not take that part of the program. There is no refund if you pass the challenge exam and you do not take that part of the program. There is no refund if you do not pass the challenge exam, however, we may apply a portion of the Challenge Exam Fee towards the final evaluation.
You may only take the challenge exam for either Part 1 and Part 2, but not for both.
