Welcome to the Registration Page for OCIN Scholarship Recipients!
The regular fee for the OHA Program is $600.00 plus $100.00 for the Final Evaluation. As an OCIN scholar, your discounted fee is $300.00 only and includes the Final Evaluation, unless you have a different agreement with OCIN.
The Oregon Healthcare Interpreter Program includes:
- Part 1: English Medical Terminology - 4 to 5 weeks
- Part 2: Non-English Medical Terminology - 4 to 5 weeks
- Part 3: Professional Medical Interpreting Concepts and Skills in Both languages - 4 to 5 weeks
- Comprehensive Final Evaluation in Both Languages.
This is a 12-16 week program. Each course (part) is designed to be completed within 4 weeks. After 12 weeks, if you need more time, you may request a one time 4-week extension at no charge for a total of 16 weeks. You may continue after 16 weeks with a monthly extension fee of $90.00 per month. With approval from OCIN, you may request to waive the monthly extension fee.
Once the payment processing is completed, you will receive a confirmation email and your login information. First, you will take the Online Orientation, which takes about 20 minutes, then you would be able to start Part 1!
Please note that you will be enrolled in Part 1. After completing Part 1, you will be enrolled in Part 2. After completing Part 2, you will be enrolled in Part 3. You will reserve your CFE date when you start Part 3. The CFE must be reserved at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance.
