G21 HCP Professional Spanish MI Program Learning Path

Welcome to Culture Advantage!

This is the registration page for the Medical Interpreting/Bilingual Training for Healthcare Professionals.

Your program plan includes:

Part 1: English Medical Concepts Review - Optional (May be used as a review for HCPs who did not graduate from the US.) Section 1 and Section 2. 

Part 2: Spanish Language Pack assignments and exams. (Section 1 and Section 2). To be completed in 4 to 6 weeks.

Part 3: Medical Interpreting Skills Assignments and Exams (All activities) (There are three sections.) To be completed in 4 to 6 weeks.

Comprehensive Final Evaluation (Separate Fee: $100.00 if completing within 12 weeks. If completing the program in 13-16 weeks, the fee is $150.00. If completing the program in 17-21 weeks, the fee is $200.00)

To receive a 60-Hour Certificate, you would submit a Medical Translation Project (when you get to Part 3 of the program) which would showcase your medical knowledge in both languages in your specialty.  Your proposal for the project should be submitted when you start on Part 3.

First, you will receive access to the Orientation Packet.

After completing Orientation, you would you would take a Brief Pretest in both languages.

Then you would receive access to your Program Plan.

Prepay Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 in one payment: $600.00. Plus: The Comprehensive Final Evaluation (CFE) to be paid later. Please refer to the above fee description.

Once you complete payment processing, you will receive access to the Orientation Modules including the Brief Pretest, usually within 3-4 hours of registration. Please complete the Orientation modules right away so you can get started on your Program Plan.

During the orientation, you are encouraged to contact us for personal assistance.

NOTE:

The program includes live group practice sessions that are scheduled on Saturdays. One practice session will be scheduled before you complete the Spanish Section 1 and another practice session will be scheduled before you complete Spanish Section 2.

For Part 3 of the program, we require participation in at least 2 practice sessions. However, we strongly encourage students to attend as many sessions as possible to prepare for the final evaluation.
